Project Objectives:                         

The overall objective of this project is to raise the awareness of all relevant parties on occupational health and safety within the borders of Mersin and in very hazardous sectors (construction, metal and chemistry), to eliminate the existing problems in occupational health and safety conditions, and to disseminate exemplary OHS practices and methods in accordance with the EU standards.

Activities / Outputs  :                     

  • Analysing the current situation of OHS methods and practices for 60 companies operating in the private sector,
  • Organising trainings, seminars, conferences and awareness events for OHS parties (employees, employers, consultancy),
  • Organising an international certification and international visit programme for 10 representatives from private sector companies,
  • Developing and/or establishing OHS management systems of private companies,
  • Preparing user-friendly guides for OHS parties,
  • Creating an online sharing and guidance platform for OHS parties,
  • Organising an international conference with the participation of the private sector, universities and related NGOs,
  • Establishing Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry Occupational Health and Safety Guidance Centre,
