Project Objectives: The overall objective of the project is to improve the conditions covering occupational health and safety and the training levels of the parties. In addition, it is aimed to improve the conditions in the working areas, raise the awareness and knowledge of occupational health and safety of employers and employees, and increase the capacity of occupational health and safety (OHS) professionals. As a result, it is aimed to achieve results such as a decrease in occupational accidents and diseases.

Activities / Outputs:

  • Performing tests and taking inventory in 10 provinces and 20 mines regarding spontaneous combustion of coal in the mining sector
  • Providing emergency training to 1000 employees
  • Holding 8 informative meetings
  • Establishing a solution partnership network (collaboration meetings with universities, public institutions and social institutions)
  • Providing 2-hour occupational health and safety training to 60 employee-employer representatives and training on environmentally friendly leather production methods
  • Providing emergency training to 100 people
  • Providing 2-hour of training on health and safety risks in the leather industry to 66 occupational health experts and technicians on occupational issues
  • Providing 4 hours of OHS training to 500 employees
  • Making environment measurements such as lighting, noise, sound, etc.
