THE PROGRAMME
The Financial Support and Guidance Programme is a component of the Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Sector Project (MISGEP), in which the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (DGOHS) is the beneficiary and the Directorate of EU and Financial Assistance of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is the Contracting Authority. Within the scope of the programme, EUR 7.6 million worth financial and technical guidance support on OHS is provided to underground mining workplaces.
With the Financial Support and Guidance Programme, financial support is provided for the employment of OHS professionals in 80 mining workplaces producing underground coal and metal ores and for the provision of rescue trainings to 3000 mining employees in total. Additionally, 15 workplaces will be selected in accordance with the determined criteria and support will be provided to them for the integration of the TS 13741-Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
TARGET GROUP
The target groups of the Financial Support and Guidance Programme are; Mining workplaces with a maximum of 250 and a minimum of 20 employees in underground coal mines and metal ore mining, employees of these workplaces and the occupational health and safety professionals in these workplaces.
