Project Objectives: This project aims to develop the competencies of Occupational Physicians on the psycho-social risks encountered by mining sector employees and how they can identify these risks.
Activities / Outputs:
- A psycho-social risk assessment model and measurement tool will be developed.
- Occupational physicians will be trained on psycho-social risks.
- Occupational physicians will implement the psycho-social risk assessment scale in the companies they work for and in the field for screening purposes.
- It will be ensured that they implement to expand the use of the measurement tool in the field and to obtain a general picture of the Zonguldak basin in terms of psycho-social risk factors by collecting data. It is aimed to report the collected data by means of interactive mapping method with Geographic Information Systems. It is aimed to transform the collected data into an open data set and to completely anonymise the data.
- Occupational physicians will carry out awareness-raising activities in the Zonguldak basin to raise the awareness of employees and employers on psycho-social risks.
- “Psycho-Social Risks in the Mining Sector Training Management Platform” will be established. This platform will provide direct access of Occupational Physicians to employees, employers, families and society in general, not just in the Zonguldak basin.
- A comprehensive impact study will be carried out on the psycho-social risks experienced by disadvantaged employees.
- Persons who were injured and who have become disabled as a result of occupational accidents in the mining sector will be reached and their experiences will be examined. Using this data, a photographic “narrative analysis” book on disabled employees and a documentary on the mining sector and disabled employees will be prepared.
- A psycho-social risk assessment standards report will be prepared for the occupational physicians.
