An Innovative Step for Emergency Action in the Chemical Sector: Emergency Response Software

Project Objectives: With this grant project, it is aimed to create an emergency response plan for the chemical industry, to increase the emergency readiness capacity of the factories, to prevent the domino effect by establishing an emergency coordination center and to develop an emergency information software.

Activities / Outputs: The following activities will be carried out: establishing the command and control center with the project; preparing comprehensive emergency plans; preparing, controlling, and revising emergency plans of GEBKİM Organised Industrial Zone (OIZ) and factories; collecting information and performing detections through field visits; situation analyses and risk assessments; situation analyses and risk assessments after field visits; development of a emergency response software and carrying out pilot trials.

Employer and manager trainings, Basic Emergency and Emergency Management Plan training, Trainings for Employees, Training of Emergency Teams, fire, chemical spill, rescue from height, emergency coordination, ex-proof equipment training, drone training, first aid training, seminars, and trainings on major industrial accidents, earthquakes, process safety and sabotage will be provided. 

Collaborations will be established with the Fire Departments, the Municipalities, the National Poison Centers and the burn centers of hospitals of the regions of Dilovası, Gebze and Tuzla.
