Project Objectives: Contributing to the prevention of occupational accidents and the prevention of loss of life in the mining sector by developing harmonious and inclusive strategies and by addressing occupational health and safety conditions with virtual reality instead of traditional methods, and contributing to the promotion of occupational health culture of employers and the improvement of OHS with technological tools in the mining sector in Aydın and to make Aydın the “Most Trusted Brand Mining City.
Activities / Outputs :
- 2 seminars will be organised for the Open Pit / Surface Mining sector, contributing to raising awareness on occupational health and safety in the province of Aydın.
- Raising awareness with the 3 trainings on Occupational Health and Safety for 500 employees, including their families, in the Open Pit / Surface Mining sector in the province of Aydın.
- A virtual reality application will be developed for the sector to provide experience on occupational accidents, such as slope failures, dynamite explosions, or those occurring in work machines and breaking/crushing plants, in a more realistic environment, which will also be used in teaching occupational health and safety measures.
- By drawing the attention of the target group and the end beneficiary, the project will be accessible to the masses in a short time, with the animation film and public service advertisement we prepared in the aforementioned field in the mining sector.
- Within the scope of the project, a comprehensive feasibility report will be prepared including the current situation of the sector and solution proposals.
- With 1 opening meeting for the project and 3 information meetings, 1 workshop and the closing meeting to be held at the end of the project in the provinces in the TR32 region, the aim and impact of the project will be effectively delivered to the target audience.
- With the participation of the Provincial Representative of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of Aydın, occupational health and safety experts, employers, relevant institutions and organisations and the participants, a workshop will be held to discuss the sectoral situation in detail in the field of occupational health and safety. The results of the workshop will also be the basis for the feasibility report to be prepared within the scope of the project.
- A feasibility report will be prepared which presents statistical data on the causes and consequences of accidents in the sector and offers solution proposals to these, as well as offering proposals for the use of technological tools (virtual reality, etc.) in the prevention of occupational accidents.
