The interactive theatre play “Shift Stories with Foreman Güven”, staged for mine employees all across Turkey, opened its curtains in Hakkari on 4 October 2021.

The 52nd performance of “SHIFT STORIES WITH FOREMAN GÜVEN” of the MISGEP Interactive Theatre Tour which was carried out under the “Interactive Training Seminars through Drama” activity of the Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Sector Project (MISGEP), financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and carried out by the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (DGOHS) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, took place in Hakkari on 4 October 2021.

Employees of İsmet Ölmez Madencilik (Mining) attended the event held in Olgunlar Village in Hakkari Centre. Opinions and contributions of the participants were received at the event, which attracted great attention and was watched by approximately 130 employees.

“SHIFT STORIES WITH FOREMAN GÜVEN” interactive theatre tour which was prepared with the objective of encouraging communication, co-operation and creation of team spirit among mine employees by MISGEP Interactive Training Seminars Through Drama, covering approximately 15,000 km in Manisa, Aydın, Denizli, Burdur, Adana, Kayseri, Elazığ, Malatya, Gümüşhane, Giresun, Tokat, Amasya, Zonguldak, Bolu, Eskişehir, Kütahya, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Adıyaman, Mersin, Niğde, Kastamonu, and Hakkari, in June, July, August, and September, was presented to approximately 9000 mine employees with 52 performances in 25 provinces.

Interactive Training Seminar Through Drama, developed with the drama technique, which is one of the most effective methods for understanding human behavior, communication-based topics, and abstract concepts, consists of 8 parts; and it includes different themes such as on-the-job training in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), personal protective equipment, fortification, prevention of occupational accidents, the psychological state of the employee, the current OHS law, rights, employee representative, rescue and communication. At the end of each part, the audience is included in the play and an interactive play is performed by taking their comments and evaluations. MISGEP Interactive Seminars Through Drama Tour Stage will continue to open its curtains by meeting with mine employees in Siirt, Muğla, İzmir and Ankara in October.
