Zonguldak tour of the interactive theatre play “SHIFT STORIES WITH FOREMAN GÜVEN” which is prepared under the “Interactive Training Seminars through Drama” activity of the Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Sector Project (MISGEP), financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and carried out by the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (DGOHS) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, was completed after staging 6 theatre plays on 26-28 August 2021.
“SHIFT STORIES WITH FOREMAN GÜVEN” was staged at three different times in its first day in Çatalağzı Municipality Covered Neighbourhood Marketplace. The opening speech for the event was given by the President of Occupational Health and Safety Research and Development Institute (ISGUM) Ms. Sakine OVACILLI. The Mayor of Çatalağzı Mr. Adnan AKGÜN, Zonguldak Provincial Director of Labour and Employment Agency Ms. Gönül DEMİRSU and Zonguldak Provincial Director of Social Security Institution Mr. Erkin AVCI also participated in the event. Zonguldak Tour was completed after staging one play in its second day and two plays in its third day.
Employees from Akkurt, Özdil, Demir, Ofkar, Aslantürk, Gelik, SFH Enerji (Energy), Ofkar, Derinsu, Bahadır Kardeşler, Akkurt Yıldız, Elsi and Turnalı Madencilik (Mining), which are almost all within the scope of Financial Support and Guidance Programme, participated in the event, which attracted great attention from the press. The presence of the families of the mine workers among the audience made the event more colourful. With the interactive theatre play where the opinions and contributions were received from the participants, approximately 950 mine employees were reached.
The August Tour of the interactive theatre play “SHIFT STORIES WITH FOREMAN GÜVEN”, which is prepared with an aim to encourage communication and cooperation and create team spirit among mine employees with MISGEP Interactive Training Seminars Through Drama, will end with an event which will take place in Bolu on 31 August 2020. MISGEP Tour Stage will continue to meet with mine employees in the provinces which it will visit in September and October.
